Delivery and Returns

Whilst www.madaboutheat.com is based in the UK, we supply solid fuel boilers, buffer tanks, stoves, fire inserts, space heaters and other central heating products throughout Europe as well as the UK and Ireland. 

For UK delivery is usually within 48 hrs, this is happens 95% of the time. Remote sections of UK are up to 5 days and can carry a premium.

A lot of our boilers have delivery included in the price, however, some addresses are unusual and these will attract extra charge.

This will be confirmed before Proforma Invoice is issued.

Any products other than boilers, delivery is extra and due to weight and sizes, costs need to be calculated on individual basis.

Most deliveries are made using a 17.5 tonne delivery truck with tail lift, enabling the driver to unload the item without needing assistance. This is not possible if the drive is not smooth or if there is accessibility issue, in which case we must be made aware of any restrictions. Typical lorry is 31ft / 11m long and around 9ft / 2.7m wide with height of 12ft / 3.6m, these dimensions can vary.

 Since 2006 we have delivered many boilers to many homeowners in Europe and some to Africa directly to the door or via proxy shipping company and have gained much experience of supplying Multi Fuel and Solid Fuel Boilers to France, Spain, Italy and other European countries.

Many houses in Europe are heated using solid fuel such as logs and pellets as this type of fuel is widely available and cost effective. 

Ex pat customers in Europe have been telling us for over 10 years that it can be difficult to obtain a quality solid fuel boiler at a reasonable price locally, for a number of reasons. You can be sure of excellent customer service and a straightforward transaction when you purchase your biomass boiler from us.

 Our usual delivery schedule across Europe from moment of dispatch to delivery is around 5 to 10 working days depending on location.

Due to size of boilers, deliveries of boilers are on pallets.

We keep a lot of units in stock, this usually means that delivery is within 48-36 hours from receipt of payment. 

Someone from us will contact you to double check on suitability of the boiler you are buying. 

We will communicate with you through out letting you know when the item will arrive.

We will provide you with a picture of your item being ready for shipping, this is so that you can compare the condition of the goods when they arrive.

Any damage HAS TO BE NOTED to the driver at the time. We pay enhanced insurance premium so the goods gets to you safely, although accidents can happen the delivery docket has to be marked clearly to say there is damage and our office should also be notified. Once signed for and goods are discovered to be damaged later any claim can be denied.

Smaller items are delivered via courier such as Parcel Force or Royal Mail.

Returns are only accepted on items that are stocked and not custom, made to order goods.

Any refunds on returns are minus postage costs and handling fees.
